Hee, I finished it this afternoon - ain't it awesome? Definitely one to reread in the future, because there was so much to it. I was expecting angst and unlikeable characters (I'm looking at you, Great Expectations, Joe Gargery notwithstanding) and instead it's just ... delightful.

It really is an amazing novel. I wish I could remember more of it, though. I read it when I was a teenager and trying to survive high school. It took me eight months just to get through the whole 900+ pages.

I, too, didn't expect I would enjoy it as much as I did. I read A Tale of Two Cities in 10th grade and enjoyed it, but I was still weary of Dickens. After Bleak House, though, he became one of my favorite authors. He is a master of words, and (most of) his characters are fascinating.
