Day 43 - Genre you rarely read (but wish you did?)

I tend to avoid straight-up romance, and always avoid horror (no Stephen King for me). I don't wish I read more from either genre. If there is any genre I wish I did read more of, I'd have to go with history. My education in history was sorely lacking and there are a whole lot of events that I don't have enough (and sometimes any) knowledge of.

Science fiction. But I'm learning to love it. In the past few years I've gotten into Doctor Who and some other sci-fi shows and I realized I like some of that sort of stuff. So I think I would like a lot more of the fiction too.

Poetry. It seems to me it's the harder to recommend, because it's the harder to explain with words what you love in it. And it's very difficult to read in a foreign language, or to tranlate, so I feel very limited.

Also, non-fiction about science.

Both are genres I read a lot when I was young, I've almost stopped, and it's sad.

Stuff that goes way beyond what my IQ level can handle, I guess *lol* Some science and philosophy stuff is that way. And I'd like to read in some languages other than my own and English (like French - beyond the comics level - and Japanese).

I wish I read more poetry but I'm pretty picky about what sort of poetry I like and I don't have the patience to wade through the stuff I don't like.
